Dinges Fire Company is thrilled to have brought a number of new manufacturing partners to the table in recent months, including BadAxx, BullitUSA, and most recently, Anderson Rescue Solutions, to meet the complex needs of the departments we work with. Many of the manufacturers we work with have their roots in the fire service – their founders have seen the problems fire fighters face firsthand and have built their companies around the creative and efficient solutions they’ve constructed. Our newest partner is no exception.
Tim Anderson, founder of Anderson Rescue Solutions, spent 20 years in fire service. Anderson started his company in 2016 and recently relocated from Philadelphia to Raleigh, North Carolina to focus on creating more tools that effectively assist fire fighters on the job. His experience in special operations and rescue led to the creation of products that are simple and effective to use in high stress situations. Anderson believes people tend to overcomplicate things when developing products for use in high pressure situations. He considers the environment and human factors fire fighters encounter on the job and designs simple tools that respond to immediate needs.
The ARS Multi-Loop Rescue Strap is a “guaranteed use tool,” using 11 loops equally spaced along a seven-foot length of roping for a variety of tasks. Anderson offers several applications of this tool in his how-to videos (CLICK HERE to watch) – from moving heavy hose to securing doors to rescue operations, the strap is a simple carry tool that replaces the bulky rope on which so many fire fighters are trained. Its uses are limited only by the imagination, says Anderson. However, rescuing fellow fire fighters and civilians rank at the top of the list. In the event a fire fighter or civilian becomes trapped or injured, other fire fighters need options to begin rescue immediately. The Multi-Loop Rescue Strap easily harnesses a person for horizontal or vertical movement, assisting in quick removal from a basement or upper floor.
ARS also carries a number of rope rescue kits and other emergency rescue tools – we have a selection for sale on the Dinges Fire Company website, but for more options, please Contact Us or Find Your Rep.
