Description

Yates | Spec Pak | Item #900NFPA

The Yates Spec Pak sets the standard for patient packaging in confined spaces. It packages, protects and lifts a patient in one system, combining the immobilization of a short backboard with the support of a full-body harness. Certified to NFPA 2500 as a class III Victim Extrication Device makes it suitable for vertical lifting. Made in the USA.

Built around a smooth plastic backsheet that allows for ease of dragging and sliding, the key to the Spec Pak is the sliding cervical restraints. This means when hoisting vertically, the head moves with the patient, rather than being fixed and adding strain to the neck as they are lifted.

Color coded straps make for fast setup and ease of packaging.

The integrated NFPA rated harness eliminates the need for an additional patient harness, further speeding the process, and reducing the time needed to reach definitive care.

Features and Specifications:

  • Certified by UL to NFPA 2500 as a Class 3 victim extrication device
  • Rated to 310 pounds, fits patients waist size from 28”-54”
  • Unit Weight of only 15 lbs ( 6.8 kg)
  • 5 grab handles for dragging and maneuvering, rated to 75 kg each
  • 5 Connection Points: 1-Head, 2-shoulder, 2-chest
  • Integrated handcuffs to maintain narrow patient profile
  • Hardware is non sparking, for use in potentially explosive environments
  • Independently adjustable leg slings for improved patient comfort and flexibility

  • Horizontal or recumbent positions should be used whenever possible.
  • Bulky clothing and any existing harnesses MUST be removed prior patient packaging.
